Toon Kuijpers Jr., better known as Toon Meister, is a Dutch former comedian and video producer.

Biography

Meister attended the Hervormd Lyceum Zuid in the wealthy southern district of Amsterdam. There, he met Watson Waterstone, who attended the same school between 2005 and 2008. The two quickly realized that they had a similar sense of humour, and collaborated on various improvised comedic videos. One of these videos, titled Smoke That Shit[1], became notorious for Waterstone pretend-smoking two nonexistent marijuana cigarettes in such a realistic manner that people who saw him thought he was actually under the influence, even though it was plain to see that no spliffs were present anywhere; as a result, rumours began circulating about Waterstone’s alleged drug use. At the time, Meister did camera work and video editing and production for HLZoom TV, the school’s internal television studio. He encouraged Waterstone to apply to make programs for it, which the latter did, although nothing eventually came of it.

After graduation, Meister and Waterstone initially stayed in touch and planned to collaborate on comedy projects, but they lost touch in 2009.
