Stefanos Kourelis (Greek: Στέφανος Κουρέλης Stefanos Kourelīs, Dutch pronuncation: [ˈstɛfanɔs kuˈɾelɪs]) is a GreekDutch former footballer and racing driver. He is the brother of chemist, alleged terrorist fugitive, and former musician Giorgos Kourelis.

Biography

Early life

Kourelis, son of a Dutch mother and a Greek father, was born in Amsterdam, where he and his brother grew up in the western Bos en Lommer neighborhood. The brothers often played video games together, during which they frequently verbally abused each other.

Secondary education and later life

Kourelis attended the Cartesius Lyceum, which his brother also attended, between 2004 and 2010. Compared to his brother, whose Greek nationalist antics frequently annoyed him, he stood out by the relatively low amount of friction he experienced with Dutch society. On occasion, he joined his brother on vacations to the Geversduin campsite, where he also met other members of The Fat Men. He eventually became a member of the The Fat Men football team.
